Taiwan is strategically located in the Asia-Pacific region. E-commerce plays a major role in the Taiwanese market, it is considered a multi-billion Dollar industry. Taiwan’s e-commerce penetration rate is one of the highest in the world, with a large market of sophisticated consumers familiar with global trends.


For a successful business, a well-organised social media marketing strategy is required for the Taiwanese market. The country has one of the highest social media penetration rate of the world. According to the Chart from Statista, 98.5% of Taiwanese adults are using Facebook, followed by other platforms like YouTube, Line and others.


Social media has become extremely important to advertise products online in Taiwan. Facebook is the preferred method and major marketing tool of digital marketing for online vendors with low promotional costs and also the ability to reach a broad audience. The ease of spreading word-of-mouth recommendations on Facebook makes it a particular favourite of e-marketers hoping to generate traffic and convert it to a successful business.
